I wanted to make a short list of the things we lost in touchwiz this time with S7... if anybody noticed more please post....

So:

Lockscreen effects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having a transparent notification bar!!!!

The option to disable the back lighting for the recent apps and back buttons!!!!

Being able to select which power saving options to be active when you have it on!!!

Widgets like S music missing!!!

Honestly thou, so far i am quite happy with what they've done with the device and some of the OS tweaks. But I really don't understand why they keep removing software options that will not cost them any extra time or money but will keep old samsung users like myself happy!?

Please share your thoughts and opinions...

You can disable the back lighting for the capacitive buttons using the Galaxy Button lights app from the play store

No lockscreen effects? I enjoy the lockscreen effects! Bummer

I just selected themes from the menu where you can add widgets and wallpapers and now my notification bar is clear. Not sure if it was before in the default theme.

Thanks everyone for all your replies. I realized that the grey notification bar I had was becaus I had the power saving mood on permanently! So basically you get an ugly looking bar if you want to save some battery power!!! :-\

Is there a S-Planner widget? I can't find it anywhere. I like have an agenda widget view. I've been off Android for a year now, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I just found another one missing:

The Smart Manger Widget does not show the Battery and Guard status anymore :-\

Did you have to download from samsung app? Im a dunce I guess, too much time on Apple.

No I didn't have to, but it might not be preinstalled on all the variants. So if you don't find it under Settings > Home Screen > Widgets. Then go to the Galaxy Apps store and download it there :)

Thanks for your prompt response. I can't find it on the Verizon variant or I can't find how to view screen on time. Previously Settings > Battery > Show Screen on. My Battery isn't displaying screen on time. This is getting wierd.

Sooooo there really is no lockscreen effect? Lol I enjoy this feature on all my samsung phones
