The update today killed my G3 (AT&T).

I got the usual update notification. The update began and never ended. I'm beyond pissed off. It isn't operable at all. The photo shows the only thing my phone will display. It blinks on and off. ASAP going to the AT&T store.

Did the update complete and got stuck at re-boot? If so, maybe going into Recovery mode and clearing Cache might do the trick.

Thanks but I tried and get the same LG start screen no matter whether I select reset or not. Uugh!

Might have been a bad download Yeah, your best bet would be to have an AT&T rep re-flash your phone.

Got a replacement phone today. There was nothing they could do and I am still under warranty.
Sucks I still lost some stuff and have to start all over getting it where I want it.

I've heard of this happening before, but never actually heard it from a person it happened to. Under warranty or not, I'm pretty sure the cellphone companies will replace the device if this happens to it. Glad you got a new to you one coming. This time pick up a cheap SD card and keep your files on it.

The update bricked my G3 as well! Received my replacement yesterday. It is "fun" starting over though!!

Don't know if you're kidding or not, but I like to wipe and start fresh every 6 months. Nice to refresh the device and get it functioning perfectly again.
