Alright, So I don't think I've seen this done here or there no anywhere for the NS4G. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways, I've set out, or will attempt to at least, make some simple color changing zips.

Also, I did this for odexed roms. I figured I'd help out the people who just root there phones but never flash another rom. ;). No, I'm on Stock 2.3.7 Odexed with Netarchy. I COULD throw the files into an deodexed package for anyone who would like to try it.

They would compare to theme chooser, I guess; but, more simpler as I've just learned. :). I will be making different colors and what not when I have the time; and, possibly updating once I learn and go along. Also, when I figure out what I missed; or, if someone who tries it points out something. This isn't even a version 1 yet.

All I've done was change some basic colors in the status bar, menus etc. So, let me know what you think. My first one is Orange. Happy Halloween. :).

Note: Always have backups!!!! If anything goes wrong with these zips you will always be able to wipe /system and restore with CWM ONLY if you have a backup!!!!

Simply flash following zips with CWM:

Simply Orange v.04.1:
simply_orange.zip

Blue Dynamite v.02:
blue_dynamite.zip
Reverted text box

More Green Than Green v.02
more_green_than_green.zip
Reverted text box
Removed orange selections, etc and added more green!

Re: [Theme]Simply Simple Colors - For Odex Roms

Nice job Blackhawk... This is exactly what the NS4G community needs is more theme options and not necessarily having to flash CM 7 or other ROMs just to have access to Theme Chooser.

Keep it coming.. Looks good.

There alright. A little sloppy and such. They'll eventually get there when I keep adding on. :)

Hey, where is the apk for the power control? I couldn't find it. What's it called?

Thank you for this...

I just flash with clockwork like any other zip right? Just wanting to make sure...

Yes. Just flash with clock work. The back to stock will work but just in case make a backup. The you could always wipe system and restore so its all back to normal just in case.

I checked settings apk. Unless its in the odex it's not in there.

I'm telling ya its in there ;)
change the appwidget_bg.9 in the res/drawable-hdpi folder and then check your power control widget out

Ok, so now I feel stupid because that's really ALL that's in that apk, L O L. I looked quick though. Better question now would be why does it come out like this every time I edit that file?! Transparent or not:

That is controlled by a ".9.png" file... Those are specially formatted using Draw9patch in the SDK Android tools. That is probably the reason why its not turning out how you expect. They are formatted to "stretch" to fit the screen in both landscape and portrait modes.

In order for 9 files to be properly formatted and re compiled in the apk they are intended for use in.

Ahh missed the 9 there. Was over zealous that I found what I was looking for. :) I'll mess with that a little later. Now that I found where it was and you showed me that: look to see this package into the themes within the next few days. :)

No one tried my themes? :( lol

I flashed the bluedynamite.zip on my stock deodexed rom and the status bar is missing. Also, the widget are not loading properly. What can I do?

The title and first lost stated it was for odexed not deodexed. So that's why your status bar is gone. You need to go back and restore a backup or replace the systemui framework and launcher apks with one from the deodexed rom zip
