Themes Change Non-Display Settings?

Looking at trying some themes but I have (finally) gotten all my notifications and syncing to work and I don't want to take the chance of them getting changed by a theme. Realize display settings will change, don't care there.

Depends on the theme. Some Themes change the ring tone and other alerts but they tell you that when you are about to apply them. I don't apply them when they state this.

Hmm... I have used many different themes and have never seen that. I will have to keep an eye out for that. I don't want any themes changing ring tones or alerts.
