That's what you thought 20, no 30 years ago. When you were the only person you knew with a PC and you were getting proficient with DOS on a 386 then a 486.

Then Pentiums pretty much eradicated the need for DOS.

Etc etc

But but by but you stopped paying attention and then you had a kid who became a young adult and knows more about handling the computer world well really that's the Internet world.

So now you are the sad old dolt your son thinks you are.


And that's why you can do the dumbest things and need help from the Internet in the sort of places where once upon a time you were the guy that answered the questions that other people asked.


TL;DR - Time is real and will f√{k you over if you don't respect it.

Yes, the effects of time passing are fairly universal. I believe that there is an exotic subatomic particle that travels backwards in time, but only for about a ten thousand millionth of a second, so it’s hardly to be envied.
