There is a hole next to earphone jack on the top

What exactly is it? I never noticed that there was a hole on the top until I mistakenly prodded it with a needle thinking that it was the sim card tray. I thought it might be a mic but the mic is on the bottom. So what's the hole doing there on the top next to the earphone jack and what exactly is it? I'm also worried that I plugged a needle in it, not too hard, but still worried that i might have damaged something -__- Can anyone tell me?

I got my new phone today one plus two. and i did the exact same thing looking for the sim tray.
How is your phone , did it damage anything? should i be worried? Thank you.
