Question There seems to be a lot of SD MAID functions that just don't work...

System Cleaner => 0B deleted 117 items failed

Corpse Finder => 0B deleted 19 items failed (including a 3.7GB for google Books which I cant get rid of

There is very little I can find on the net as to why these SD MAID functions just don't work.
Is there any way to shift that 3.7GB left over by Google Books? Google Books App is not installed on the phone.

The dev replied to an email but couldn't help me as far as SDMAID goes. He just threw a link at me but it's far too technical....

I tried to delete the folder using adb.exe but it just can't seem to find the folder but instead of telling me what the problem is it throws no message back at me when I try to delete recursively on that folder. So even the android tools don't work gracefully for users....
I downloaded the adb platform tool for windows and ran the following which didn't complain about not finding the directory but it also just didn't delete any files?...
adb shell rm -f -r /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.books
