Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy On7 (SM-G600FY) ZTO, which is on Android 5.1.1 L. My model has an update to android 6.0.1 M. However i use an APK that doesn't work on Marshmallow and I usually watch videos on my Phone, especially YouTube. There's a problem on 5.1.1 that happens in ALL online video applications that makes a 5 to 7 seconds LAG/Hanging after the video starts. I searched in many websites like XDA, but i hadn't any answer. On my XDA post i had almost 400 views and nobody answered. There's the options to "Use AwesomePlayer istead NuPlayer" and "Force GPU Rendering" but both doesn't work.
I've made the logcat of android Lollipop using YouTube and I found this message in logcat:

[03-18 02:04:15.443 1423:1423 W/PackageManager]
Failure retrieving resources for com.google.android.youtube: Resource ID #0x0

And I usually use Youtube Vanced app. This modified Youtube app have an option:
"Use ExoPlayer V2". This option makes some videos run with this ExoPlayer, which fixes the LAG in the beginning of the video, but it doesn't work at all and some videos still face the LAG.

Please. I really want a way to fix this problem. I think my Lollipop ROM better and cleaner than Marshmallow, and the lag video it's my ONLY problem. I've searched forums websites and comments from users that own this phone, but nothing. There's a way to fix this, like changing the system media player by Root or something, or some way to fix the logcat error? I'm almost with no options.

Ok first I have to say that I didn't follow about 80% of that, but I will give it to you for including information about your issue. There's a ton of it. Second you're posting a ROM and mod question in the general Ask a Question section where most of the questions are about stock things. Apps, OS and devices. We do have a root and ROM community here but nothing as extensive as XDA, which is where I would have guided you except you say you've already been there. Having said all of that I can only ask a few questions;

You say you're using this alternate YouTube app because of the different player that you can use with it, was that because of this problem or because you wanted that option for other reasons and now it's not working? If it is the latter have you tried a stock version of the app or tried to find another version?

Is this ROM one that you developed or did you get it somewhere? Have you tried any other versions of the ROM?

I believe what you are likely to hear the most is, you're talking about a very old OS and most of the knowledge dealing with that has been forgotten or buried as the newer versions have become more prevalent. I still invite you to register an account here and have a better look around. Perhaps moving this to one of the other forums here will yield you better results. This link will help you get started... https://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/409154-join-android-central-community-new-post.html

To be honest you wont find much support out there , the Rom your using the dev most likely not supporting anymore so you wont get patches or fixes , as mentioned above it's a old operating system most dont bother with anymore.

We generally discourage discussion about apps that violate Google's terms of service (which is what Vanced does), which is why this thread was closed.
