Had to change gs4 digitizer with supposed oem, totally fake. Seeking a solution to overheating, which never happened before knock off digi. Install.
Thermal pads were obviously thicker causing instant overheating warnings. Swapped them with salvaged oem pads. Helped avoid instant warning. But occasionally occurs.
Seeking opinion on replacing or coating insulating pads adjacent to processors with thermal paste.
My concern is if it will be effective, and will the paste stay in place since phones are more subjected to daily movements.
