Thin case with full coverage

To the OP: I was on a similar hunt for a thin case that I liked. I finally caved and ordered the diztronic from amazon since it seems to be mentioned in a lot of threads. It is just what I was looking for. It covers all the sides and has great cut outs. It also doesn't make the phone feel fat, it is honestly just as thin if not thinner than the seidio surface from my experience. I have used the surface for the past month and just didn't like unsnapping the case to get the phone out. My goal was to find a thin light case that didn't make the phone feel bulky and also provided sufficient protection. The diztronic case meets my goals. At the very least you should give it a try since it is only 9.90 it is definitely a good first case to grab and if you don't like it you aren't out much.

I got the black Diztronic and I went back and forth comparing it to the Verizon Silicon. The only real difference was the Diztronic felt slippery - I should have ordered the glossy one. It's a good case.

For a pure minimalist like me I just want the edges covered so dont drop it - don't care about protection just grip.

Yea I can see that, I am rolling with the matte black diztronic. I had the surface prior to this and it had basically the same grippyness which for some reason works for me lol. At first I didn't think it would be enough but I think as it gets a little wear it gets better.

I also have one of the verizon silicone ones (first case I had for the phone) and I actually dislike it. It is way too grippy. Sticking it in my pocket or pulling it out was more of a struggle than it should have been (and I don't wear tight jeans by any means). It also made the phone feel a little too bulky for my taste, I think it is because the silicone on the one I had was a little looser than their glossy versions of silicone cases. Mine was the black one with the lined texture on the back.

For some reason I got the Verizon Silicon that had no lines on the back at all - smooth and glossy. The nice thing about it was that it fit the extended like a glove and I liked the grip. Never had a problem putting it in my jeans.

But you are correct that the bulk is way too much. The Diztronic is less bulky than the Verizon.

The Diz was the second case I bought and I didn't know any better about matte. I could have ordered to glossy one and probably would have stuck with it. But my dad bought the Nexus also so I just gave it to him - he likes it.

I used the Verizon until I got the super cheap one I'm using now that is very light and has a great grip on the sides. But ultimately I want a bumper case.

I have a small pile of cases next to my desk. I've become a case junkie :)

I have also started to form a small pile of cases lol. I purchased that cheap case you linked from amazon and it actually just arrived today. It is a decent design but it doesn't fit my phone very well, the top lip didn't even make it over the phone edge lol. I have the extended battery with the stock back (dremeled it down so it actually fits perfect). Not sure if the tiny bit of a different with my extended battery prevents that case from fitting properly or what, but I definitely couldn't use it.

I have it on the extended battery with the extended case. I bought one in clear and it didn't fit that well. The one I bought in black fit much better.

I have a feeling it's luck of the draw with this case - which is why they are $3.50.

Why do you want the stock back with the extended battery? I actually like the extended battery back.

I did it so that I could use the cases made for the stock battery. If I was running a bare phone I would agree with you that I do like it better with the extended battery (little bit thicker). But with a case that really doesn't do anything, the case is going to add a little bit to the size. The diztronic with the dremeled stock cover and extended battery feels perfect to me.

I also think those cases might be luck of the draw. The one I ordered was the black one and it doesn't fit. I can't believe the extended battery fits it though that's crazy.

The Diztronic fit my extended without a problem. Most TPU or Silicon Cases can fit both. The problem is with the hard cases.

I was actually referring to the cheap amazon case, did that fit the extended?

I have no doubt about the diztronic fitting the extended. I'm definitely satisfied with diztronic!

I bought the clear first. It fit but part of the edge on the screen was even with the lip. I could have lived with it.

When I got the black it fit much better - there is a lip all around the screen and the ports line up well. There are a ton of these for sale all over the internet. Someone must have made a ton and went out of business. Probably because every one seems to fit a little differently.

I will probably keep the black one on until I get a bumper case or something even lighter. I don't care about the protection, just the grip.

As far as quality and consistency the Diztronic is very good as well as the Cruzerlite. The Verizon fit the best out of all of them as it should have for $24.95, but it's way too bulky.

I probably could take an exacto knife to the cheap case and cut the back out but with my skill it would be jagged and look terrible. And I'd ruin a case that fits.

Yea it might be jagged but you'd get a bumper :P

I'd rather wait until a professional makes one.

And I don't want to ruin the 1/100 cheap case that fits the extended!

haha true true. But you can prolly cut up the one that doesn't fit because a bumper should fit no matter what. It will gain a little more stretch without the back.
