Things I miss about my BlackBerry Storm 2!

but you could always have your other emails forwarded to gmail and set up gmail to send from that address.

At work we use pop3, so I just have it forwarded to gmail and when I reply nobody knows that it is coming from my gmail acct. I don't even have my other email addy's on my phone. They all go through gmail.

I miss being able to copy and paste in Yahoo Messenger. I get a lot of messages in different languages and with my blackberry YM app, I could copy the message and use an online translation software to translate. I could do the same in reverse to send a message in a different language.

Now I'm left trying to remember exactly what is written and type in a translation app on my new Fascinate. It would be nice if there was a plugin for translation or copy-n-paste

HA ha seems like everyone got rid of their Storms! I just got my Fascinate 3 days ago and the only thing I miss is that front blinking notification LED, and the push messages. Loving this phone so far.

As phone administrator for a small business I can tell you the frustration level switching to this phone from the Storm I was outrageously low. No questions about missing icons (Browser, email, and odd apps popping up, in their place, lost sync profiles, required Desktop Manager... blah, blah..

6 Storms are now sitting dead on my desk.. RIP

Well I had a Storm and now have a facinate. What do I miss about it? Absolutely nothing. The Facinate is a great phone with Android it's FUN. Never going back. Hey your BB is your Fathers cell phone. Come on up to the 21st Century with Android.

I had a BB bold. After 5 days I can honestly say I dont miss the blinking light (i got a little obsessive with it!) NoLED does the trick. I miss BBM somewhat, but again nothing texting and gtalk cant solve.

I too was a sucker of the BBS1. After living with that awful phone for 2 years I voweed to never purchase another BB EVER! RIM took advantage of us all on that one.

BBM will be missed
Blinking Red will be missed
Thats it.

I was a die hard Blackberry fan. I first bought the bb storm, of which had many issues and I had faith in bb that they would fix it, but that would never be the case. So I bought the storm II. The storm II had a few problems (for me at least. It varied per user) Although when they came out with the big OS update that is when the phone finally woke up. It was a completely different phone. But then after a while it began to be a little sluggish. But I enjoyed it as I am a huge emailer and the email UI was great only lacking a bulk action function. A few months ago I heard that BB was coming out with a new OS called OS 6.0. Although as I would find out it was not going to be available to storm/storm II users. Thats when I started looking elsewhere for a better phone although staying with verizon. My way of thinking is that with the new OS all the newer apps would be geared towards it instead of making them backwards compatible. So their plan is to make it so you would have to buy the latest and greatest BB, which I can understand their plan from a marketing stand point but I had already done this process with the transition from the storm to the storm II. It isnt as if the storm II doesnt have the hardware to handle it. So thats when I went looking for another phone, and found the fascinate. It was the better looking phone out of the current line up of verizon phones. My girlfriend got the droid 2 which I feel like the fascinate is sooo much superior to that phone. I miss certain things that my Storm had, the clicking touch screen, the blinking LED, the email interface, and the organization of the app world. Other than that I can honestly say I am happy with the Fascinate but the transition still feels fresh where I am still looking for the LED, and wishing the email interface was different. But I can honestly say I made the right choice. I cant wait till FROYO comes out. Has anyone heard of an official release or rumors of a FROYO release yet for the fascinate?

I have K-9 Mail for handling my POP3 email account
NoLED to take care of the missing LED notifications
Smooth Calendar widget to see upcoming appoints

I had a BB Storm 1 and I can honestly say I don't miss a thing about it!! It was next to impossible to use the internet, so to me it was nothing more than a high priced phone that handled emails & appts well...
