Things That Stopped Working After Nougat (i.e., please help)

Just sticking to the facts (rather than my intense hatred of Google), two key features stopped working for me with Nougat and wondered if anyone had suggestions.
First, Google Maps will no longer work in split screen mode (it shows the map, but doesn't update current position.)
Second, saying "Note to Self" in Google Search no longer stores a Task to my Task app.
Any help appreciated.

Sorry, I can't offer any help but man oh man, all the threads about problems with Nougat...I'm in NO hurry to upgrade! It ain't broke so I'm not fixing it (Marshmallow)

Split screen maps work for me, even updates location. Note to self works also, I use keep, it might be your app also.
Dumb question. Did you try clearing the cache or restoring the phone

It might be manufacturer specific, though, as I've had a Nexus 6 for a while (on Nougat) without any issue.

Yeah, OP. Try clearing the app's cache, first =)
