Thinking about a switch from Evo Shift to Photon

I'm considering a switch to the Photon from an Evo Shift.

My Evo Shift currently has a 16 gig external sd card. I'm aware that the Photon has a space for an external sd card.

I'm wondering if I can use the same card in the Photon. Sorry for the silly question. I just didn't know if I'd have to buy a new one or could use the one that's already been in use in another phone.

If I can use the same one, do I need to wipe it and start all over, or, may I use it for the Photon and have the benefit of everything that's already stored on it?

Thank you.

The question I have is
Do you really need the keyboard?
Do you really need 4G
If you do then your only options are a Epic if you need a keyboard and 4G
The XPRT if you need a keyboard that actually works albeit 3G

As to if you can use your card or not.
It really depends on what is on it.
What I would do is save everything on the card to a folder on your computer.
Then put the card in whichever phone you get and reformat it using that phone
Then you can copy the contents back to the phone.

Be advised however that if you are trying to do video and the card is not class 10 , you are going to have issues do to the speed of the card

pics/music/documents you have on the card will work fine, just plug it into your new phone..i switched from a phone with a slide out keyboard and getting used to a touch only keyboard was the biggest adjustment

I have a class 4 16 gb card that I transferred from my Evo and I've never had any issues with video. That includes 720p video. Records and plays just fine with no lag whatsoever. U don't need a class 10.
