love HTC Sense. Love the form factor of the Dinc. ..small, sleek. But hate the screen size. For the amount of browsing, etc that I do - I find that the 3.7 screen isnt enough real estate. Not nuts about the X but Im beginning to feel very cramped on the Dinc. Either that or wait for a 4.3 HTC device. But I may just swap devices and upgrade when the new one comes out. Thoughts?

You might be upgrading in screen size but in my opinion downgrading in the actual device. Motoblur is glitchy, and the x feels like a brick. I like that my phone fits in my pocket and the screen size doesnt bug me, if you're really into web browsing and the screen size matters why dont you just get a web book or something in that avenue?

I'm not sure why, but you know what really bothers me about the x? The mechanical buttons at the bottom. Why would they do that? I'm really not sure why it bothers me...it was just an instant turn off. In my opinion, the screen is too big, but you have to do what's best for you.

I made the switch to the Droid X from the Incredible and couldn't be happier. At first I was very put off by the size of the device, but after carrying it for 3 weeks, I don't notice. I also put a Seidio Active case on it to protect it, but also to help with the feel of the device. I will say that once you use a screen this size, it's hard to consider going back to anything smaller. It's awesome for web browsing, email, and generalcy any apps that require reading. Another advantage is that I rarely turn my phone to landscape anymore. I type using swype in portrait and text is large enough to view in this orientation.

There are many pluses and minuses to making the change, and all are specific to each user. Just wanted to throw in my two cents. One other recommendation - if the X form factor is keeping you away, check out the Samsung Fascinate. Sleek form factor like the Incredible. I had one for a couple weeks and loved the way it felt in my hand. The screen is super bright and text us easy to read in both portrait and landscape. It renders webpages as well as the X.

Good luck.

Well the HTC Mecha(DINC HD) is coming but the question is when.Odds are early next year but nothing's certain yet. That may be too long to wait so maybe the DX is your best bet.

I think you will regret it just for a screen size thing , right now the dx is awful buggy on froyo (known bugs confirmed by motorola)

If the new HTC device is all I hope it will be I will sell or retire my dx for it .;)

I'd strongly suggest waiting for the new HTC device any day instead of a Motorola X !!

I have used both, the X is better imo, just throw on launcher pro, and enjoy:) the inc is also cool, but I love android, so I really don't hate any top tier android devices, they all have their own merits!

Haha!!
With all the Motorola X random Reboots, glitchy OS, lackluster finish , cheap and chinsy buttons crappy looking screen and terrible camera pictures.....right.

I've seen none of what you claim on my X. It's been rock solid, excellently built, and functions without flaw. I'm not knocking the DInc by any means, but the qualities of the X appealed to me. The large screen is excellent and has spoiled me. I'd much rather have physical buttons than capacitive ones. Me and capacitive buttons don't get along that well. The camera takes some nice pics. It won't replace my regular point and shoot, but it does the job quite nicely. Every model has their batches of crap phones, whether it be the X, the DInc, or the Galaxy S lines. All of them have had problems that need to be sorted, and they're problems that don't affect all phones, just small sections that get online and ***** about it.

Well said...the X has been rock solid for me, and that ain't no plastic.

Good for you that your experience has been the exact OPPOSITE of mine with the X.
simple test for anyone looking at a Moto X: Play any HD YouTube video on the X next to a oled or s-oled screen device(Dinc or Fascinate) and that big screen looks like total garbage.

I wouldn't say garbage. There's a difference, but in no way a killer difference. There's more color saturation on the DInc and the X is slightly washed out in comparison. Fair enough. The DInc screen has the advantage in that situation. Take the same DInc and the AMOLED screen outside with my X on a sunny Florida day and the DInc screen is nearly completely black, washed out, and unusable, while the X is only a little less bright than usual. Each has their positives, each has their negatives, depending on the situations. Sucks that you got a bum X, but that doesn't make every X, or even the majority of them the same quality. Just a bum unit. I've got two buddies who've returned bum DIncs. One has a flawless replacement that he couldn't be happier with, the other has a Facinate that he raves about.

I seen plenty of known issues with my dx none with the inc ,imo the inc.leaves the dx in the dirt I have them both right now speak from experience not speculation
The dx isnt that much better in direct sunlight compaired them side by side many times

I have both a droid x , and an incredible.
The X is by far my favorite. After using the X its hard to use the smaller screen of the incredible.
The X takes good pictures if you know how to use it . And once you add launcher Pro then all the lag(the little there was) is completely gone.
I have not had one of the ''froyo bugs'' people talk about . Fact is the buggy phones are few and far between.
Both phones have pros and both have cons . Thats why android makes so many! Find one you like , and make it your own!

Nice....you must know android well. The posters saying the inc is without bugs ( we all laugh) we have seen the list of bugs. Fact is, all phones are subject to computer like flaws that operate on a computeristic level, even the i phone. I have zero respect for haters that spread misinformation. The inc shines in its own right, and so does the big bad X. I like reading honest comments, but some of the comments in here are so polar, all I can do is ROL!

Yeah its funny how people who don't have both phones think they are experts on both .
