Thinking About Switching To The Atrix?

I've got the Inspire and I just love it. My last phone was the Nexus One, and the Inspire's touchscreen is so much more responsive, I love the screen size, HTC Sense, it's plenty fast, I've got tons of apps on it, good battery life...overall I am really please with the Inspire...

If I had the Atrix I would have it skinned with Launcher Pro so no worries about Motoblur, but I like Sense more than Launcher Pro...and would it be worth it for the dual core, more RAM, FFC, bigger battery, HDMI out?

I'm not interested in rooting so a locked bootloader on the atrix isn't a big deal for me...

I'm thinking about switching too, but in the back of my mind I keep thinking, what if I DO wind up liking the Inspire more?

I'm thinking Inspire at this point, I will have to try an Atrix though.

Im thinking of switching too, plus there's a rumor going around that Radisohack will sell the phone for $150. I bought my Inspire 4G at Radioshack so I could just return it and add the $50 for the Atrix. The only thing keeping me away from it is the locked bootloader, meaning no rooting for a while

Yeah I saw the new price and that's not too bad at all. I will not be switching as I NEED to root to get rid of all that crappy bloatware. More of a personal OCD issue than anything else tho lol. Plus, I've never had a good experience with a Moto phone. Granted, I've never had a Moto smartphone, but I guess I just don't wanna take any chances. HTC has always done me well. If you do get the Atrix, let us know how it is!

I personally don't like Motorola's sense, but if you coud root it and get another sense on there I think it would be an AWESOME phone.

I love mine too. But the ridiculous specs on the Atrix will cause me to pick one up. I'll be using ADW Ex on the Atrix (still won't be as good as Sense, imo). I'll still be using my Inspire as my daily phone though. So I'll have two devices for a while, and I'll likely eventually start to switch between the two. At some point, I'll probably get rid of one of them, but I can't see that happening. I love Sense too much, and I love the Atrix's specs just as much.

I wonder if it would be worth it in the end. I mean it does have all these extras, but when it comes to performance, will we really see a substantial difference on the phone with the dual core processors? From what I understand, only the Webtop application would benefit. Maybe I'm misinformed.

We are getting an Atrix here at work so I will have both for a bit to see what the difference really is.

I'm not sure if the Atrix will be faster for normal day-to-day use but I will know more next week.

I love the Inspire and it seems to never lag like my Captivate and the GPS works...LOL

For those of you that haven't heard....

Root is already working on the Atrix and it's a simple process to do! It's in the xda forums.

I'm undecided between the Inspire and the Atrix!!

I'm tempted to try the Atrix for myself. Albeit, I'm nervous that the battery life will be terrible...

The battery life is going to be great on the Atrix, I have the Inspire now and getting the Atrix today so I will let you know.
