I Think I might switch to Verizon but I have heard a lot of rumers about coverage and billing problems. I love my EVO but Sprints poor network in area is beyond help. Anybody have and comments that could help me?

Coverage is different for everyone so I won't presume to speak for everybody here...

But as for me coverage has been great, even when traveling. They dump more money per quarter into their network than any other cell company. And I never have any billing issues with Verizon.

If you're serious about the TB, just purchase it and take Verizon and the phone for a test drive. If you don't like it, you have 14 days to return the phone and nullify the contract - plenty of time to try the phone and see what kind of coverage you get

Cheers, mate :D

Are you saying rumors about poor coverage? Cause in my own, my family's, and most people in general I ever talk to about phones in real life or here online, VZW is hands down the best coverage you'll get. Their network is also very well built, which prevents things such as dropped calls, etc.

Never had any billing issues either with VZW. AT&T though, I've had 2 nightmare problems. One was a personal account, the other was a corporate account.

I'd definitely give VZW a try if I were you. Worst case is, you return / refund everything (including the contract, check your local state/county laws) and you only pay for the few days or weeks of service you had with them.

Yes, open a new line with a new #. Then when you decide to stay VZW just port your Sprint number to replace the one VZW assigned you.

I've had great VZW coverage in FL, PA, MA, AZ, NM, VA.

I was in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for a family reunion, and I was the only person who had Verizon, and I was the only who could make calls. Everyone was borrowing my phone to make a call! I have never had any problems with dropped calls! Verizon has really great service.

Ditto. Ride along with a new number at first, port later if you're going to stay with VZW.

I have a feeling you'll be happy :)

I do alot of traveling to outside small towns away from Chicago and Wisconsin alot and beside US Cellular(Which is Chicago based) Im the only one who gets service. TMobile and ATT are always only on Edge while Im in full 3G. Sprint has one bar of 3G if its lucky. VZW ftw

I have been getting a lot of 4 bars of service with sprint then all of a sudden My phone and my wife's phone drops to 1. It then takes me four days of calling back and fourth to convince them its a tower issue and it only is in my area to fix it. I hope the big red doesn't have this as much.
Good info, thanks for easing my worries.
