thinking of getting a shield..

Like the title says.. Been researching and I love my m8 but shield looks like I can do a lot more with it.. Questions.. Is the 500gig worth it? And has anyone used a blaze key to put kodi and pt on it?

I have the 500gb version and I'm quite happy with the system...being able to stream some of my PC games to the shield on my tv is awesome! (Skyrim on a 50" tv...think about it)...
