Thinking of upgrading to the GS9. I have traditionally used the Nova Prime launcher but was wondering if anyone is using the stock launcher or a third-party launcher.

I've played with the Microsoft launcher, and thought it was pretty nice. My daughter likes it so much so switched over to it and stayed. I'm so accustomed to TW that I went back to it after a couple days.

I've used Nova Prime on my phones for years but I decided to try the stock launcher. I'm liking it and have no plans to put Nova on my GS9+.

I only use TouchWiz on my work S7, which is locked down. Does TouchWiz launcher support icon packs like Nova?

For those using the stock launcher, is it noticeably better than in years past?

I keep trying to go back to the stock launcher, but there's just things I can do with Nova Prime that it can't do. Like fit up to 7 apps on the dock, I like the widgets a lot better and the app drawer, just to name a few. There are many more customizations that Nova can do that I like. Went back to Nova again today and I'll stay with that.

I really enjoy Action Launcher, but there are some glitches. I like swiping and having apps so accessible. plus when I swipe to the right I have widgets at my finger tips.

I really like Microsoft Launcher. It's clean, responsive and has just enough options without being overwhelming for my needs.

The wallpaper switcher is really nice and the right swipe info screen is pretty solid.

This is the first phone where I haven't used Nova Prime. They added a 5x6 grid and pull down notification gesture. I'm happy with that.

Nova Prime end of. I couldn't live without the swipe up functionality on any icon/app and sesame shortcuts etc. Plus all the other stuff that TW doesn't have.

Have you tried the latest incarnation of TW? If not, you might be surprised.

um yes, i have a s9+ TW is not a patch on Nova Prime and never will be. Its a no brainer!

The dock functionality in Nova alone, is enough reason not to use TW lol for example.

I use nova, tried Microsoft and there was a lot to like but the huge gap between the dock and home icons bugged me a little and you cannot change it.

I've dabbled with Action Launcher as well and it was pretty cool. Apex isn't bad, also. :)

I used the stock launcher and messaging app for about a week. Just put Nova and Textra on last night. For me, I like them better. I'm not a big tech guy but simple things like applying icon packs and certain gestures is why I like Nova.

Ya the gestures as also so handy and customisable. You can change icon packs in TW though.

I'm one of those that came from a Microsoft OS and Nokia phones, so I'm using the Microsoft launcher. Yes, bash away, but I'm all in on Microsoft products and the launcher is really smooth and clean and Edge is amazing. I think it's great that they make their products work seamlessly on Android and you have some crossplatform compatibility (like I can continue my browsing session on my phone right on my Windows 10 desktop and receive notifications while on my computer).
