I think that is odd as I still consider the shield tablet one of the finest tablets you could own hands down. This would still be my first choice to buy today, even if not in it for the gaming.

I agree with you aapold, but the way I see it, forums are usually filled with people looking for big fixes and issues. The fact that the Shield forum is quiet might mean that it rarely has issues. I know mine works swimmingly!

But I agree, I wish there was more constructive discussions and activity...
