Gang -

Maybe this might help others, but got it down to a pretty much easy and done fix.

This assumes txt and emails stored locally are not critical to your daily life.

While I have everything just so, I make a CWR backup.

Then, backup ALL applications and data via My Backup Pro.

Install the RUU as described in other threads.

Get your root on (see above).

Go to the market and fetch a file manager.

Go to the last backup via My Backup (reware folder) and manually install each app.

Then have My Backup restore data only.

Do not restore the tether data. Cuz it won't work.

Restore system data w/ caution. I don't do it.

Then use Uninstall for Root to remove that offensive bloat.

Finally, do any last min setups (mail/maps/peep/etc).

And install BeWeather beta...

Now, I have NO FEAR of losing anything important.
