This isnt good :(

given they didn't comment on it in the video description, that looks more like a glitch w/ their upload to youtube or youtube itself.

HTC EVO 3D 720p HD Video Sample by Aaron

Aaron gives the HTC EVO 3D's 720p HD video camcorder a spin in the Charlotte metro area. The video quality was decent, but the sound cut out approximately halfway through the video (despite shooting the same video several times). Shot at 2:25 PM on Friday, June 17, 2011.

They said something about that, and it is a normal thing...oh no! :'( Every day since the NDA expired i am becomming increasingly weary on using my upgrade for this phone...i currently will still get it, but this is scaring me ALOT

Seriously, he needs to stop moving. How can we tell if there is good quality or not if the camera is in constant motion and unable to focus.

And the sound cutting is out is just sad. I hope this is not standard for the phone.

It is just a boring blocking feature HTC is releasing to curb the flood of boring videos being posted online. :p

what does a NDA have to do with anything? It sounds like you are suggesting HTC is now telling people to shut up about the phone. What do you mean? Thanks

The NDA kept people from talking about the phone. Now that the restriction is lifted, a lot of reviews are out. So since the removal of the NDA....see his post and go from there.

maby that is what it is...HTC is testing out the feature that will block all 3d porn that will happen when this phone is released...but then no 3d money shot :'(

Ahh, I totally see what you're saying and agree. I really don't care about the 3d aspects though. I just want a fast and zippy phone that will last awhile. I might wait just a bit longer and see if the SGS2 is announced so I can 30 day it. I'm pretty sure the 3vo is going to be a good phone but I want the best I can get.

but what if they announce an even better phone once you get the SGS2?

I agree, no matter what phone you get, in a few months there will be a better one. No one will ever own the "best"device for more then 3 months. So pick a device, go with it, and accept the fact that soon after there will be one better then what you have.

wtf, i swear it didn't show up for me earlier, heh.

I realize that a better phone is always a couple months away. I downgraded myself from an Evo to a really old Katana a couple months back so I could get the Nexus s or maybe the 3D. For me I think that that SGS2 (within) would be my favorite based on speculation. However, any of these phones would please me. I hope I like the 3d because not having a smartphone for 2 months is killing me. I will definitely choose one of these three. If they don't announce the SGS2 a few days after the 3D then I'll rule it out. I gotta do something soon :)

There's no doubt something like this will be fixed at release or shortly there after. This is too much of an issue to not be fixed on a device geared towards media usage.

You should look at the other video made by Wirefly comparing it to a dedicated video camera. It look great and no sound issues.

I am sure he will make a comment on that in more detail in his full review. That's Aaron from phonedog, right?
