This or V30?

I want to move on from my S7E (year and a half old).

I am hesitating between this phone and V30.

Which of these 2 would you recommend (both of them are the same price here in the UK)?

The V30 is cheaper at this point, and it has a bigger battery. G7 has their newer, brighter, yet more power-efficient LCD screen and a notch, a dedicated GA button, better speaker, and smaller battery. It depends on what you care about.

I owned a V30, and I will say battery life was fantastic. I loved the quad DAC, too. I ended up selling it, though, because I'm not a fan of LG's UI aesthetic.

I had the same dilemma and chose the G7. the notch you can get rid of in settings. I decided that it's newer Hardware and a faster processor in the batteries the same as my S7 so I'm not really losing anything. It was a very difficult decision and either way you can't go wrong. For the record I got my G7 a lot cheaper than the v30.

I've been torn myself. Mainly I don't want to go back to LCD after having the S8 for over a year now and the device is perfectly fine and suits my needs well, but I'm ready to move on/itching for something new. Eventually I decided to wait for the V40. As for the UI, I've been running a Action Launcher/Nova rotation for years.

I thought about this but decided G7 is the way to go. Better screen, better camera, better speaker, better processor, going to be relevant longer.

G7 has the better screen and I quite like the notch. No burn in concerns too.

V30 has better battery when you use the phone (standby seems similar between the two) The G7 has a better camera both front and back.

G7 also has the newer processor. In the UK they are priced exactly the same so it is not an easy call.

I mean between G7 and V30 irrespective of the price, it's not even a question for me. I'll always take the phone with much better internals.
If it's between V35 and G7, then it's a much harder decision.

One thing alone would make me choose the V30. The ridiculous decision to separate the power button and the fingerprint sensor. What the hell were they thinking?

There's other things I like about the V30 as well but that's a major G7 turn off for me.

The phone is too slim for me. I know it is a 6.1" screen but compared to others it looks too slim. Won't have as much content on it

I don't think the size is bad at all. Very comfortable to hold.

Same. One reason I skipped the V30 was it being too wide. I refuse to carry a clunky phone that makes it awkward to walk and sit.

The problem is with a narrow and taller screen there is more but smaller to see if I'm explaining it right

I had the V30 and it was a really great device but I downgraded myself to the LG G6 but most likely will go to the LG G7 very soon.
