This Phone Is Just So Much Better Than The EVO!

I am so happy with my Epic. Its exactly what I was looking for. Not to huge not to heavy and with the option of a key board when I need it. Its build quality is superior as is the battery life and call quality so far. This is a great phone!

I actually had an evo and switched. My wife got the epic and i played with it and had to get it. After seeing hers whenever i turned the evo on i was sad at the screen lol. I had it rooted and hacked with custom kernel to kill fps cap among other things that the epic does out of the box. Now im not saying the evo is a bad phone but i love my epic. Plus i made some money switching anyways.

I 100% agree its the better of the android phones compared to Evo. Its probably the best android phone currently available hands down...

In addition to the keyboard, I think the built in phone app is better too. Also, for me, the type to search works better. With my EVO, when I was searching for a contact they might be 5 or 10 down on a list until I got their whole name in there. On the epic it seems like everytime, by the time I get the 3rd or 4th letter in, the contact is at the top of the results list.

The display alone makes it a HUGE upgrade.

Then you factor in the superior camera.

While I love my epic, the only reason I would 'throw the evo out of bed' is because of no keyboard. Other then that its a great phone too. But glad to hear yet another success story!

With the power this phone has and the availability of a external keyboard I dont really see any reason to upgrade at the year mark. With gingerbread and hopefully more after that Im sure this phone will handle it VERY well and as long as it runs well Ill be happy. The only qualm I have is that they need to unlock the TV out feature of a hacker with time needs to cook it into the rom. That is the only downfall to this phone is that its missing that.

My wife's Epic ordered from Best Buy arrived yesterday (Thursday). I've been trying to play with it to compare it to my Evo but she hasn't given me the chance. She keeps snatching it back from me. One time she held my Evo "hostage" by holding it over the kitchen sink drain, threatening to drop it down the sink until I gave her back her Epic. LOL.
