This phone is the worst with emergency calls

Just called 911 while in my pocket and they called back asking if everything was okay. Is there a way to make this not go off so easily?

That is odd since there is pocket detection built into the phone. Rather odd.

I get this a lot also.
I'm guessing it's worst if you use the PIN lock (which my corp exchange requires).
Somehow, the phone bounces around in my pocket and wakes up... There's huge Emergency Call button, and if that gets pressed, it immediately dials 911.
No "are you sure" or anything to inhibit it...
It's a major pain...
This has happened at least 6 or 8 times in 2 months..

Does anyone know if any of the other ROMs have a different PIN lock screen behavior that would improve this?
Maybe a smaller emergency call button, adding a confirmation prompt, or something else?

Just make sure screen is off prior to putting it in pocket

There's no reason for the phone just to randomly come on. You actually have to press the power button. Now if your using Auto screen on, then I can see it randomly turning on since it uses sensors to activate. I would try a different locks creen on the phone or download widget locker to make it harder for that to happen.

Not sure if it matters but I'm using the lock that has you swipe a pattern.

Weird that that happens for you. On mine (HTC One Sprint) when I accidentally hit EMERGENCY CALL it just brings up a dial pad, not a direct call to 911.

Don't know where you hang out but have carried phones in holsters since the days of analog phones and have never had one snatched from me. On the other hand I know lots of people with smashed and cracked phones that wouldn't have happened if the phone wasn't in their pocket.
