I just picked up a Google Home yesterday and am loving it! This thing is really awesome!
I realize that it's in the beginning stage, but that means it will only get better. Plus I like that it gives you 6 months free of Youtube Red and Google Play Music. It might make me switch from Apple Music to Google Play Music if I find that it has the same music I listen to on Apple music. (I'm an iPhone guy) But I really like it for playing music if I'm on the computer or getting ready for work. Also, setup and managing it from my iPhone was easy, so no need to have an Android phone to use it.
I put mine in the master bedroom, and after using it, I'm going to get another one and put in the Living Room.
I do have a few questions though if anyone might know.
1) When playing Pandora, how to switch stations you have programmed in? When I ask Google to play Pandora, it works, but I want to switch it to another one of my stations but can't figure out how.
2) When playing music, how do you get Home to default to Google Play Music and not YouTube? When I ask it to ply a song or album, it always plays it from YouTube unless I ask it to play it from Google Music.
Other than that, I'm still playing around to see all of what it can do. My daughter even has a lot of fun talking to it.
I intend on getting the outlet adapters so I can turn my lights on/off, and maybe even consider getting a Nest.
If you're on the fence about getting one, I would say go for it! You'll love it.
