I just picked up a Google Home yesterday and am loving it! This thing is really awesome!

I realize that it's in the beginning stage, but that means it will only get better. Plus I like that it gives you 6 months free of Youtube Red and Google Play Music. It might make me switch from Apple Music to Google Play Music if I find that it has the same music I listen to on Apple music. (I'm an iPhone guy) But I really like it for playing music if I'm on the computer or getting ready for work. Also, setup and managing it from my iPhone was easy, so no need to have an Android phone to use it.

I put mine in the master bedroom, and after using it, I'm going to get another one and put in the Living Room.

I do have a few questions though if anyone might know.

1) When playing Pandora, how to switch stations you have programmed in? When I ask Google to play Pandora, it works, but I want to switch it to another one of my stations but can't figure out how.

2) When playing music, how do you get Home to default to Google Play Music and not YouTube? When I ask it to ply a song or album, it always plays it from YouTube unless I ask it to play it from Google Music.

Other than that, I'm still playing around to see all of what it can do. My daughter even has a lot of fun talking to it. :) I intend on getting the outlet adapters so I can turn my lights on/off, and maybe even consider getting a Nest.

If you're on the fence about getting one, I would say go for it! You'll love it.

I just got it too for black Friday and I'm loving it too. as for your question about playing from Google music, look I side the Google Home app. it's there in the settings.

Also you might want to get a Phillip's hue while you're at it. It's even more amazing talking to G to turn off lights and stuff.

Yes I have Google Play Music selected in the Home App. It will play from it if I ask, but my complaint is that if I don't ask it will default to playing the song from YouTube Red.

For example, if i say:

"Hey Google, play Fates Warning, Inside Out" It will play it from YouTube Red.

But if I say:

"Hey Google, play Fates Warning, Inside out on Google Music" then it will play it from Google Music.

I just want it to always default to Google Music and use YouTube Red as a secondary. Maybe it isn't possible yet, I dunno.

Also here is an Easter Egg for you. If you never played a Super Nintendo you might not get it, but say:

"Hey Google, up up down down left right left right B A start" You'll find it funny. :)

As far as the Phillips Hue. I don't really want to buy the remote light bulbs, I would rather buy the remote outlet you plug into the wall and then your lights into that. I just need to find out which one will work.

On a side note. We had a ton of family over yesterday for Thanksgiving, and everyone was having a blast talking to Google Home. I definitely need to get another one for downstairs. :)

To make GH play from whatever service you want and have it default to that service. Go to the GH app select more settings, then select music, from there you can chose the defult music app you want GH to play from.

I live in the UK and the Home hasn't been released here. When I saw someone in the UK selling one on Ebay I jumped at it. He'd been over to the US recently and brought a few back with him.

I have the Echo already and it's ok but very limited here. The Home is AWESOME! It was easy to set up and I now also have 4 rooms set up with Philips Hue lighting and dimmers and an extra Philips LivingColors Iris in the living room with another upstairs to set up soon. Yes it's not perfect but I already prefer it to the Echo and if I could get more now I would for the multi-room music :)

Google need to get their asses into gear and get these released here before more people opt for the Echo or Dot and Google doesn't get a look in. It would be a shame for people to miss out because Google were slow off the mark.

Great thanks! I saw that before but I guess I never read the top to realize that is where you set the default.

Now if someone can tell me how to change the station on Pandora that would be great also.
