those with GB 588 are you going back to froyo

anyone running the non rooted leak 588 going back to froyo or are you waiting to see?
also sbf back to froyo is different with GB right? I cant get RSD lite to see my phone for some reason.

.588 that's old most X are running .595 Deox and rooted. some who don't care for root have been on .596 for a few weeks.

I'm still running 588. I will prolly flash back to froyo and then upgrade. i just hate having to redownload ALL of my apps again :-/

I figure sometime next week once the dust settles from the OTA "soak" rolling out i'll give it a try.

I'm running .588. If I don't get the update, I still don't see any reason to flash back to Froyo for the "official" release. Maybe in July when I upgrade and sell the DX on ebay.

If you are rooted on 588, etc.. and you have the 12P (ending) Baseband Version (about phone) you should be able to apply the 596 deoxed right over the top of it without wiping using the Droid 2 Bootstrap. I noticed the original question was non-root, but some folks have thrown root into the mix here.

That was according to the post over on Droid Life. I tried it with the deox (also from there) and it worked for me. Im running: 4.5.596.MB810.Verizon.en.US atm.

I didn't have to wipe and I still have root. I haven't been able to figure out wireless tethering with GB though. Since 588 I just don't seem to actually establish a connection although it says it does.

I didn't have to reload a thing though going .588 to .596 but again as you will note on Droid Life it basically says you must be on the 12P Baseband for this to work.

Take a look at the instructions over there. Might save you some time.

Same here - I'm on .588 nonrooted and I'd love to use an update.zip that will keep me unrooted. If anyone can point me in that direction I would really appreciate it.
