Those with OFFICIAL 2.2 froyo installed: Did you test if the Wii Remote works?

Just curious to see if anyone has tried it with the official version with sense, I didnt read anywhere if they modified the Bluetooth to accept HID profiles, the only notes are bluetooth voice calling.

Can someone download one of the free wii remote apps and see if it will sync?

I would myself but I have Cyanogen Mod CM6 which works and my phone is damaged ( thanks recliner mechanism and losing it... )waiting on a replacement

This way when I get my new device I can keep sense without going through all that rooting again if it does work, if not its hello cyanogen goodbye sense again..

As far as I know wiimote does not work. I have cm6 so I can't test it but when my gf downloads the ota Tuesday I will test it out and let you know.

Well.. If you think about it.. you are doing it to play pirated games, so Im sure an official letter to HTC saying... "Please let me play my pirated games on emulators" isnt on the top of their priority list.

However HID support is more than wii remotes, I just use that because its the most common use. Keyboard and Mouse control is really nice, basically turning your pocket phone into a full laptop.

I did the SD card install of the Froyo update and I just installed the wiimoteController APK to try.

It says "No blue tooth found. Have you turned blue tooth on? Error no - 1 (no such device)

Blue tooth is on, so I imagine its related to the known problem you're talking about. If i try to discover the wiimote on my own it never does
