I had a galaxy2 and switched to the EVO LTE and I must admit I was tempted to switch to the S3 because of the WiFi issues and other bugs I've experienced. I went to the sprint store played with the S3 and although the camera is a little better and the phone is a little faster I decided I can't give up my Evo. The screen is so much better and I absolutely love the build quality. I have faith HTC will fix most of the bugs as they usually do. Although one of the most important features for me is the camera which kinda sucks in low light, I love everything else about this phone n can't give it back lol.. just wanted to share that :)

Im sorry but that removable battery closed the deal for me.

I'm a fairly heavy user and battery life is an absolute non-issue for me, and I can see how some would feel more comfortable with option to carry another battery to swap when necessary. But if you're carrying another battery around anyway, why not carry around a portable charger?

Quick question,

How did you go about getting rid of your S2... Im on the fence with the EVO or the S3 but not sure as the best way to sell my S2?

I thought battery was going to be an issue for me too, I used to swap batteries everyday on my S2 but this device is excellent with battery life and I'm a very heavy user

I bought a portable charger because I didn't know what to expect with the battery life but the battery last me all day so I haven't even used the portable charger yet lol

I did the opposite and returned my EVO LTE for the galaxy s3. Yes the screen is better on the evo but the s3 feels better in my hands. Plus you can see and feel the difference in smoothness.

The Evo is a great phone. The screen is bright and crisp, its fast and the toned down htc sense 4.0 is great. When I brought my Evo I loved it, but it didnt receive calls most of the time and had a lot of bugs. I called Sprint to fix it but the tests they ran didnt fix the issues. Did a google search and found out a lot of people had the same issues with their evo as well. Switched out for a galaxy s3 and I am truly blown away! Htc was my favorite phone maker until I picked this phone up. Its my first samsung phone and it couldnt be better. The Amoled screen is a notch better than the Evos Lcd imo because of the richer colors. The touch wiz interface is very intuitive and easy to use. No bugs, 2gb of ram over the 1gb in the Evo. I think the ram upgrade will sort of future proof the phone a little bit. I carry an extra battery even though battery life is great on the s3. No removeable battery on the evo is not the end of the world but it wasnt the greatest design choice. Bottom line is that the Evo is great and once they fix the bugs it will be awesome. However if you want the best phone out there period, you have to get an S3!

Glad you didn't switch. HTC needs the support.
