I grabbed up a pixel on Swappa, and it's a great phone! It's fast and smooth and was in great condition. However, dumb me, I thought it was the XL version. I'm coming from a note 5 so I'm not sure... Anyone else missing the giant screen?

Totally subjective question. I used a moto x, a Galaxy s6 then a moto x pure edition before moving to a Nexus 5x and now a standard pixel. Couldn't be happier with the size actually I'd prefer a smidge smaller but the next person will tell you otherwise. I like s compact phone that's usable in one hand and isn't a monster to take in and out of the pocket.

After all these years I'm still yearning for that Moto x feel in a phone physically

I understand. I had the moto x for a short time and it's a tough little phone. I tend to like bigger screens since I use the net a lot, but the camera was the number one consideration for the pixel!

Firstly, Congratulations on your new Pixel 😃 definitely the best Android device of 2016. I think a 5" inch screen is still big enough for media consumption. Plus, it is 1080p so definitely sharp enough.

If you think about it, it's only .5 of an inch bigger for the XL so it's not a huge difference. However, If you are having doubts about the screen size, then maybe the XL version is the one for you. The extra screen size is nice but is it worth the extra $100? 😃

I got a 128GB Pixel in March, coming from a Moto X Pure Edition. Before that, I had a Droid Maxx (which I have reactivated on a secondary line). The Pixel is taller than the Maxx, but the screen size is about the same.

I liked the MXPE, but after going back to this size, I am very happy with the Pixel. I just couldn't justify the price difference for that 0.5".

The battery life on the Pixel is much better than the MXPE. I can get a full day of moderate use out of the Pixel. I needed a charger always at hand for the MXPE
