Verizon Wireless Service Out Across Hampton Roads

Verizon Wireless customers across Hampton Roads have lost mobile service, and the company is trying to track down the reason. Customers' mobile devices generally say they are "searching for service" or show a line through the connection symbol on their screens. A technical support representative said multiple cell sites apparently are down and the company has received calls and e-mails about the service outage from customers in Norfolk, Suffolk, Newport News and Williamsburg.
