Thoughts on Android 12 on Pixel 4

I have no question if it will run ok on my 4XL, I have a problem with what I have seen as to whether I will like it or not. But it will help with a decision as to whether or not to stay with Android of flip to Apple.

The beta versions have given me some issues on my 4XL. But I am confident that Google will have all the major bugs worked out by public release and it will run fine on any Pixel 4 / 4XL.

I've had all the beta 12 versions on my 4XL. Minor issues, but I've been using my phone all along.

It's running great on my 4XL.

I'm hoping it may improve battery performance.
The battery on the P2XL sucked!
The battery on my current P4XL sucks worse than my P2XL did and it was bad.
I'm going to get the Pixel 6 Pro. Hopefully the 5000 mAh battery will be better then the ones in my prior Pixel experiences.
I love these phones, smooth and fast but both with terrible battery life.
The new cameras on the 6 & 6 Pro sound promising as does the new Tensor cpu, very excited.

While my 4xl is running awesome on 12, my mistake was 2 years ago thinking I could be ok with 64gb of storage. Even with backing up photos etc I am constantly bumping my max capacity, so while I love this phone, I did order a pixel 6 pro with 512. Getting 350 back from Verizon for my 4xl so not too disappointed since I think I got my 4xl for 1/2 price with whatever promo they had 2 years ago.

That sounds great. I'm considering upgrading to the 6. Android 12 for the most part is good, but I do notice my phone is lagging now. Not crazy bad, but I'll see hiccups when I'm scrolling through things all the time now, opening and closing apps, there's some delay. But I'm also wondering if the .1 update that's coming soon will fix some of that.

Double tap to turn on the screen is not working
Face unlock is not working, yes I check the settings, it's enabled
UI looks like it was designed in senior center while they are playing bingo
Too much wasted space in notification area
I prefer Android 11 skin

Same. I don't load up my phone like I used to. Generally between 12 and 18gb free with the 64.

I am considering the 6 over the 6 pro but would like to keep the 4 as back up so no go on the trade in for me.

Plus I can deal with the storage for now. Especially since both of my phones are about to be paid off. Think I'll take the 40 cheaper bill for a while.

Ok, I broke down and got a 128GB black 6 Pro. Took a while to get it ordered. Expected 10/30. Google financing has always been good to me. I did forget about the free earbuds but I already have the original buds. I really didn't need to upgrade but it has been 2 years. Glad to go back to fingerprint authentication.

That sounds nice. What do you think about the curved screen on the pro? I've never had a curved screen phone before.

I'll let you know. I think it just curls around the edges of the screen. Not supposed to cause any false touches.

I wonder about the curved screen too. I ordered the Pro but financed thru Verizon. Didn't see an option for Buds. No big deal.
