Anyone else a bit aggravated some content will wrap around the curved edges ?
I got to see the N8 for the first time today, was annoyed to see web and possibly other content wrap around the curved edges. This was an issue on the Edge 7 which turned many off including myself, from what I've read seems like most people hated the content wrapping around the edges. I had N7 and don't really remember content wrapping around the sides that much, if it did it wasn't anywhere near as severe as the Edge 7. Was hoping Samsung would of designed the screen to avoid this on the N8.
On the plus side the phone didn't seem unwieldy or too big to handle, which was one issue I was a bit worried about. It was on display next to a S8+ and at first I couldn't tell without closer look one being slightly bigger than the other.
The new ratio is something I wasn't looking forward to. After messing around with the demo it might not get under my skin as much as I thought. Surfing the web didn't seem too bad minus the content wrapping around the edges which I can't stand. I don't watch movies on my phone, so maybe the new ratio would bother someone like me the least, I hope.
I think I might like the N8, but wish I could hold onto my N5. With the Verizon deal though it's a bit hard to pass up. I may take the plunge and worst case buy another N5 for a spare phone, or a relic still having a flat non curved screen.
