Thumbnails from Web...Ugh!

The Gallery contains all (and I mean all) the thumbnails from my web browsing. How do I either get rid of these nuisances (short of deleting them one by one) or at least put them somplaces where they don't show up in Gallery (or any other viewer I may use)?? Driving me nuts! Droid with Froyo.

in the folder with the thumbnails put in a .nomedia blank file and the gallery will ignore it

Pretty sure it's .nomedia
