With all of the recent news of the Bionic being cancelled, which i am still waiting for an official word before i make any moves, which of those two phones would be the best to get? I do not have LTE in my area yet, so would the thunderbolt battery issues be a problem for me?

I'm sort of in the same boat. They seem similar but maybe they'll put a bigger battery in the Incredible 2. Man this Bionic fiasco today has really thrown a wrench in my plans.

Yeah, i feel ya. I was planning on holding out for the Bionic as long as I could but it looks like i'm gunna need a back up plan now incase all of this turns out to be true.

I decided to pick up a TBolt last weekend after I got a funny feeling about the Bionic and hearing some rumors of its demise. The Bolt has a solid dev community (still being the only 4G phone on VZW), and I honestly haven't had battery issues since I flashed a custom kernel and rom. I'm not in a 4G area, but with 8 hours of constant use (some browsing/games, otherwise streaming ESPN radio or PowerAmp continuously) I'm finally at 48% battery. I like the phone more each day I have it, and I'm grateful for the unlocked bootloader (and custom kernels).

I never noticed lag, even with full Sense and bloatware. I have a rom now with sense stripped out since I use LaucherPro anyways, and it flies. I forgot to mention earlier that I also leave my syncing on, Plume syncs every 10 minutes, my 2 Gmail accounts are instant, and Pulse news syncs every hour. I would say I use the phone heavily and it's more than stood up to the challenge. The only lag I've seen in person are with people trying that SPB 3D launcher, but that also looks like it might not be properly optimized code (just speculating based on the random lag spikes and my experience programming).

I would pick the Tbolt over the Dinc2, but it depends primarily on the size you prefer. I wouldn't choose the Charge over the Tbolt, mainly because it's a Samsung with almost identical specs.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I use my phone heavily too. I'm always on mlb at bat looking at scores and on my current phone I also have my gmail account set to push.

I am looking to go bigger screen size wise, so it really won't be a problem to me.

I honestly think it comes down to expectations. I came from a BB Bold 9700, so I'm used to good battery life and consistent performance (at least in my case). I honestly haven't had much trouble with my Tbolt, though it seems like some people may have gotten lemons or just run into every bug possible. As for performance, I don't know what a dual core would help much besides boosting benchmarks and possibly battery life (though if they're scrapping the Bionic due to issues, I have to wonder about the abilities and requirements of these first-gen multi-cores). In comparison to one of my friends with an Atrix, my Bolt is much smoother, but that may just be due to MotoBlur :p

When the first generation of multi-core consumer processors was being developed PCs, they were not nearly as optimized as the last-gen single cores (which happened to be the end of the Pentium 4 line). I was hoping that Nvidia had the kinks worked out, but I will be more than happy with my Tbolt for now, then eBay or Craigslist it in a year or so when something new comes along that is actually a real improvement.

I understand you there. I am coming from the iPhone so I am used to getting a full days use out of it.

Honestly though, I would be willing to stick with single core phones for a good part of the year until something good comes out that proves all the kinks have been worked out and that it can hold up a good day battery wise.
