Thunderbolt 3G data shuts off when sleeping/screen off?

This problem has been getting worse and worse for me.

At work, both cell data and WiFi are turning themselves off when it sleeps for more than 10-15 minutes.

When I wake it back up, it takes a good 2-3 minutes before it can re-establish a cell data connection.

This is after a factory reset, and no, I don't have any settings on that turn data off after sleeping.

Ridiculous! I've missed so many critical emails this way.

I'm having problems too. My mobile network cuts off by itself. Everything y'all gave talked about is the way it should be to be getting signal. The only way u can continuously get signal is putting my phone in cdma only and in home mode only. I don't know what to do now. I have also really installed my rom and radios and kernels. So I don't know what to change. I'd rather just throw thus piece in the trash and go get a flip phone!

I've now realized I don't have to have it in home only. But I do gave to have it in cdma auto to get any internet. I guess it be calling Verizon.

What is home only? I'll try anything to get a stable data signal at this point.

When cut off your Lte system selection then lights up right under that. But I've now realize I don't need to anymore.

But now I'm experiening something different. My phone auto restored itself back to Lte/cdma the other day. It started picking up internet signal once again. So thought all was fine. Nope, it went back to doing same thing again. No internet when in Lte/cdma. So I switched back to cdma auto. I guess ill just wait it out and see of someone else figures it out or if its a Verizon thing. No need to unroot and get another phone, root and try it again. I don't even use 4g but when I need it I want it to work, so ill wait.

was there ever a resolution to this? I have this issue all the time. It makes me want to smash my phone 10x a day. When it first started, it was random and infrequent. Now I have the issue several times a day.

Very disappointingly, my resolution to this was to pick up an iPhone 4 that a buddy was getting rid of to upgrade to the 4S.

No hardware problems at all anymore, and I get almost the same battery life, with all the features on, as with the TB and the extended.

I lost a lot of features -- most annoyingly, widgets and Google Maps, but at least I can get back on Wifi or on cell data after disconnecting...

Going to wait a couple of months and see how the Galaxy Nexus is.

I'm still having problems. I've switched Lte radios but haven't been in a 4g area to try it out. Ill comment on it as soon as i do.

My 3G seems okay after I did a reboot (no battery pull) but Wi-Fi is going to sleep some time after screen timeout. Happening on 2 phones I have since the GB update, was fine before. I had the earlier GB update and did not observe this issue, only since the 5.5 update this week.

Still No help on radio change. I'm unrooting and taking it back to Verizon ASAP. I just can't believe that such a "nice phone " is such trash. This is my 4th one. After the next I'm done. Ill switch to something else.
