My brother uses that car dock for his OG Droid and puts it up on the windshield. I had to drive for awhile on our trip to Chicago and damn that thing got in the way. I have no idea how he can drive like that! But Google NAV was pretty interesting!

Yaa, the OG Droid one is a big arm looking thing. Probably a little bigger than usual. But the information you get through google nav is unreal, satellite images, streetview and traffic. Plus I cant wait for calls and nav at the same time... I hope the car dock isn't priced like the multimedia dock.

Will the extended battery add any extra bulk to the phone or is it the same size (from the looks of it) just with more juice?

Wow I forgot about that... it will be epic. And I think if I were to use one I'd just put it more in an unobtrusive spot!

The 2750 mAh extended battery is about twice as think and therefore comes with a new battery door.

The Seido 1750mah extended battery fits the stock battery door.... not as much power...but no bulk.

Edit: 1600mah is the one that fits... not the 1750^

There is another forum someplacethat i dont know myelf but yes the extended battery adds bulk.. which i like and i own the extended battery...
you bet a cover that goes with the phone.. and you can charge up one and use it when ya get in a jam..

but as they tell me there is a forum for all questions and this one was diffinatly outta forum.. try better ok..

The Seido 1750mah extended battery fits the stock battery door.... not as much power...but no bulk.

The Seido thatfits in without the new back is 1600 mAh - I am hoping for higher capacity in a slim battery if the phone doesnt last long enough. I would hate to make it larger... seidioonline.com

The pictures of the bolt in the dock show the phone in landscape orientation but the screen image isn't. Is this just a bad image on their part and the tbolt does do landscape screen (clock etc) as blackberry storm?

The dock puts the phone into multimedia mode.. which is in landscape. When not in the dock, if its not standard on the phone... you can use a different launcher and it will give you landscape mode for all the screens.

I remember as a kid my dad unboxing his new phones. Back then included in the box were such things as car chargers and leather cases... now you'd be lucky to get a charger and an owners manual

verizon will be sellin it, or u can get offline anywere, but they are out of stock....i was offered a 20% accessories with new customer. i got car dock screen protector an then bought the droid 2 essential pack for my wife since this media dock wasnt out yet. they took my number as said they woul call as soon as its in
