Thunderbolt reboots in 4G, 3G, 1X or WiFi?

When your Thunderbolt reboots, your data coverage is...

No reboots. Didn't vote.

Edit: It is interesing that the early results seem to indicate 3G. I am almost always in 4G and don't experience reboots. Also, this could point to an interaction between 3G and the new eERPD switching, which the TBolt runs by default.

I voted for 3G, but to be honest, I've only had 1 unplanned reboot that I've ever noticed. Just happened yesterday. On top of that, I'm usually in 4G or wifi...but not yesterday when it happened.

This is what I think the issue is.

I agree Frank. The only problem with that solution is folks that get replacement phones that then no longer experienced reboots.

Some claimed the either installed the OTA on their replacement device or that it came with the updated firmware. They have no reboots. How do you account for that?

Can you guys help out and tweet this?.there's a share via Twitter link at the top. Would be great to get a lot of votes and see what's up!

i dont get reboots really, but im also on a GB rom so the few i have are probably while on 3G

I've long suspected eHRPD as one component of the problem, but just guessing on the little I know. Verizon really needs tons of data to see how strong of a correlation there is. If there is a correlation, it won't be a 1:1 correlation as the problem seems to be rather complex to diagnose. Partly ROM related, partly network related, it seems. Perhaps the result of multiple cascade streams.

BTW, while all of my reboots have been in a 3G area, all of my data connectivity lapses have been in a 4G area. eHRPD is found in both.

Depending on how many votes for reboots in 4G, this poll may just show that most TB users are in a 3G area. But it's still interesting that not too many issues in 4G areas.

the occassional reboot i can deal with its the reboot (shut down) without restarting this has happened 4-5 times now and my phone will be off for hours before I notice. This is very Bad I rely on the cell, daughter has asthma and need to be reached at all times!!!!!

Does everyone get a full reboot or a partial? I have seen my phone bring up the white HTC screen and reload the applications again but never a full reboot.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk.

Didn't vote cause you didn't have an all of the above option. Mine reboots in 3G and 4G. Never had 1x show up and I have only used wifi a few times for short periods of time. Mine always reboots when battery hits 50% when in use and at 50% when charging it back up. Keep it plugged in as much as possible and have cut my reboots way down.

The poll allows you to make multiple selections so you could vote all of the above if you wanted.
