htc's ThunderBolt has a resolution of 480x800. I have a boat load of digital wallpapers that I subscribe to here on the WWW. When I try to set one as the wallpaper/background, it forces me to crop it!

These files I am using are EXACTLY 480x800.

I just do not get it.

Is there a way around the cropping? A different size resolution I should use that I will not have to crop, but will be able to use in full on the T-Bolt?

PLEASE tell me I am not the only one who is annoyed to Hell about this ...

All Android devices do this when you go to set a wallpaper. You have to use 960px ? 800px wallpaper for the Thunderbolt. When you go to set it as wallpaper you have to adjust the cropping box to cover the whole image.

EDIT FYI
The reason you need the 960px ? 800px wallpapers is due to the way the screen scrolls when you swipe side to side on the home screen.

You just put your finger on one of the sides of the cropping square and some arrows should show up on all four sides. Then just drag your finger to adjust the size of the square until it covers the entire wallpaper.

Go to the market & download "wallpaper wizardrii"
Then open app, choose wallpaper, press the "select" button & choose "no scroll" or "exact" .....
