has anyone with this issue resolved it yet? does this justify an exchange? i got this phone from amazon months ago. do i go to verizon or amazon?

It seems to me that this is an issue on all Rezounds so I don't think a replacement will fix anything (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

I thinks it's worth noting that I have updated my phone to the leaked ICS and this problem is still there. I have also recorded a video using the Beats headphone mic to capture audio and the ticking is still there. Doesn't seem to be a way around it.

Might be an issue with the way the video is encoded, possibly a data fragmentation issue. I wonder if it occurs on all resolution settings with the camera. One way to find out....

Can someone try something for me? Go to the camcorder app, tap the settings button, then disable and re-enable record in stereo.

I'm uploading a video to youtube right now to see if it actually got rid of the issue like I suspect it may have...

I think your sample video is misleading. The first is recorded outdoors with a noisy exhaust. The second video is indoors with little noise.

I never noticed the ticking noise til I saw this thread. I've always had the stereo option enabled.

Now, I hear the tick only in videos with loud noises - wind noise, etc.

Videos recorded in a quiet room have no ticking noise.

I'll try some tests this weekend, too.

I just recorded our hot weather girl on TV three times as a test.

With stereo off, there was the squeeky ticking noise.

Twice, with stereo on, no ticking noise.

Fair enough, I've got two more videos uploading now, both have more noise, still no ticking/miscellaneous noise. Will edit this post once they're uploaded.

I am uploading too. I hope we can figure this out.

I'm gonna tweet HTC. Really want this fixed in the next upgrade.

the easiest way to get the ticking noise is to record music. when i record someone playing the piano, the ticking is extremely noticeable.
