I have a Samsung Captivate Glide on AT&T running Ice Cream Sandwich. Over the past few months I've had an ongoing problem with the current time displayed on my phone. At irregular intervals (usually more than a day apart but 2-3 times a week) my phone will display a time that is off by anywhere from 10 minutes to 2-3 hours. I can fix it by toggling Airplane Mode on and off, presumably causing the phone to re-sync with the cellular signal. This tells me that syncing with the clock provided over the air is probably not the problem.
Most bizarre is the fact that certain functions seem to operate on the correct time. For example:
1. Sometimes I pick up the phone, turn on the display, and I see the current correct time for a second then it switches to an earlier, incorrect time.
2. My morning alarm (on the phone) is set for 6:30 am. I have had the alarm go off, I look at the phone, and it says say 5:12. However, it is actually 6:30! So clearly the alarm is reading a clock that is correct, but the display is wrong.
Has anyone else seen this sort of slippage on the display clock?
