Time Went Bad / Wrong Time

I'm attempting to play a game on my phone, one that I've had for, well, forever now and I get a message from the game telling me that my device's system time settings are incorrect and that these errors need to be corrected. I stare at my phone, watching the time and sure enough, it's about a half a minute to a minute too fast. I Googled this first, came across another thread on here that mentioned have a Task Killer app can apparently wreak havoc on your phone. Well, crap, I have one of those. So I uninstall the app, turn my phone off and on, and now my phone is a good minute slower than everything else.
No time zones or anything like that have been messed with. Last night, everything was fine with my phone when I turned it off and set it up to charge.

Help please. I have no idea what to do.

Slower than my laptop and all the other devices in the room that are automatically updated by a network provided time. Every other device is perfectly in synch. My phone is clearly not. The game is still giving me issues. I tried setting the time manually on my phone, then turning it back to automatic and it appears to still be off.

edit:: I have a clock synch app on my phone now, it's telling me it's off by.. well, it keeps fluctuating. I'm trying to get it to synch up, but I'm having absolutely no luck.

Does it do this whether it's on WiFi or not? My Droid 4 is about 30 seconds fast compared to my computer that's connected to the internet. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. What game are you trying to play, maybe some of us can download and try it out ourselves. It could be a problem with the game itself too.

Yes, it's off no matter what. The game is working again, I don't know why. I checked my phone's time against a co-worker's and it's still off.
