Timely alarm not working

I have added timely as my alarm and it will not work. I charge my phone when I go to sleep and in the morning I get a message "phone is starting" and no alarm until after log in... Please help thank you in advance

While the previous comments seem to be blaming the battery, if I'm reading your thread correctly, it sounds like you are charging it overnight. In order to really help you we will need some answers and more details.

First what device do you have?

Do you have any kind of auto restart or power off timer set? On my Samsung the auto restart can be set for as often as I want I believe but I only have it set for once a week. Have you checked this or for this setting?

If the restarts are not intentional or accidentally set to be intentional, are you telling us that your device turns itself off even when on the charger? If this is what is happening the alarm is the least of your issues. This is a far bigger one that needs to be addressed before we go any farther. It could be the battery, the charger, the charging cable, the port, any number of things.

Now it's your turn, offer some input to get better advice...
 
Duplicate threads merged. VidJunky brings up important points -- I was also wondering if there is an auto-restart option that's turned on.
 
If it is not because you have auto restart enabled then maybe contact the app developer to see if it is supposed to be compatible with your phone...
Or even simpler, use the clock/alarm app Samsung put on your phone

You know I was thinking something similar, we're not sure what device they have and may never know as there's no reply, but what could an alarm app bring to the table I wondered, then went and checked it out. It's just pretty colors and a couple of faces, so yeah literally just get over it and use the stock app that works or try something else. There's tons of free apps at the Play Store.

I have the unlocked note 10+ running Android Beta 10. I too use the timely app. I've had no issues with it. I don't have my phone set to auto restart. So I really can't see why they're having a problem.
 
Timely is a bit odd in that the developer Bitspin was acquired by Google back in 2014, and yet the app is still available in the Play Store under the Bitspin name, and hasn't been either changed to a Google product or simply killed outright (after incorporating whatever Google liked about it into the stock Clock app).

It also hasn't been updated in more than a year, so I wonder if it's just been abandoned ...

About the only thing it has that the stock alarm doesn't is cloud integration so all your devices have the same alarms in them. Something a Google developer familiar with their cloud access could probably add in 5 minutes (developing and testing, both).

And Bitspin is bitspin.ch, so I wonder.
