Times are Changing

I have been around the tech scene for a while and started on the Crackberry forums back in 2008 and became an ambassador on the forums, joined iMore after the CB forums slowed down became an ambassador on those forums too.

I have made so many friends over the years on both the CB and iMore forums and for that I will be grateful. But times change, folks move on to other platforms and we have to move forward.

I hope all the folks I have met over the years on the CB and iMore forums are doing well, I finally deleted by BBM account after being active since 2006 because they shut down the consumer version.

I am still active in some groups on signal and WhatsApp and I may sound like a relic, but too me it was all about meeting folks from every walk of life who shared the same tech passions as I did.

But all good things come to an end, I can only hope a couple of the forums like this one survive, but who knows the way the tech publishing and tech industry are going.

You talk like you're new but you've been a member since '16. Have you recently come back to Android or like mustang7757 have you been dual wielding an iPhone and an Android?

However it goes, like you I'm holding out that this place holds up for at least a while longer. I came here for advice and like you found it to be a pretty decent place, and never left. With the traffic being so low here at times I recently tried joining another forum, for something totally unrelated to Android, to fill that niche only to find there is no place like home, I mean Android Central. I tried Samsung Members until I kept getting strikes for actually wanting to answer people's questions and criticizing the Mods over there for their low effort non-answers. Like they say you can't make a silk purse from a sows ear.

I too like mustang7757 recall seeing your avatar around, even if I don't remember your tag, and see that you only have 16 posts, but long live AC.

The way I feel is that since mods are chosen here without asking to be mods, we need to be helpful members first. This forum is awesome anyway. You and many other folks make Android Central the great place it is. Thanks to you and everyone else who are so friendly and helpful.

Crikey Bakron, that's a blast from the past.
I also joined Crackberry in 2008 and remember you very well. You were always so helpful and well respected in CB.
It's great to see you here. I don't post much here these days but check in regularly.
