tiny tower or tiny death star on nook hd 7"

I recently got a nook hd 7" for christmas and I wanted to play tiny tower or tiny death star on my nook but it states that it is incompatible my nook runs android 2.2.0 and I was wondering if perhaps anyone knows a way to run tiny tower or tiny death star on my nook without gingerbread 2.3.3 or if there is a third party software or app that lets me run either of the games? much help would be appreciated

That is nook os version .2.2. it runs 4.0.4 last time I checked.
