I've been with Sprint since they opened their doors in the US. All this time I've been "hoping" for better selection and better quality devices. After all these years they FINALLY popped the Evo and Shift (Samsung-well.......). Look at what the "other guys" are doing in the mean time! I know there's this "well Sprint isn't all that big and they are doing things in a timely manner" line..............pure BS.

Yes they are cheaper by about $10.00 per mo. for now, but the gap is being closed by them and the other guys pretty rapidly. Add to that LTE not Wimax seems to be gaining the higher ground.

I'm sure Sprint will continue on just fine, but I sure am tired of continually "hoping". Maybe it's time to jump ship to another carrier that understands that maybe I want a choice of quality devices, not "do you want this ONE good one or these other POS"?

Don't mean to start a flame war, but sure HOPE the Sprint people are reading this!

Thanks to all that contribute!:)

Sprint has never competed on the ultra high end when it comes to devices. They tend to have a few that they will carry for a while. The Evo was a huge success for the carrier. Expect to have a few high end devices to be released each year for the carrier. The evo and epic was there high end last year. Today's announcement will be the beginning to this year's high end devices. They simply are not going to try and keep up with the amount of devices Verizon has released in the last 6 months because they don't have to. Verizon is still Big Red and will more likely try to rake you over the coils. Sprint and T-Mobile are both offering plans and devices that are much more affordable and that's how they compete.

Sprints kind of caught in between the other carriers. Verizon really didn't have any great smartphones until the original Droid came out. They are using their size to finally really push out high end phone now. Art and Tmobile both have the advantage of being GSM which is a worldwide standard. So even if you didn't like the carriers offerings you could buy an unlocked phone and use it. Sprint being CDMA always had second choice devices just like Verizon did but without the huge subscriber base to draw out manufacturers. Now with wimax being Sprints 4g offering I think that's going to get worse. Time will tell but look for Sprint to keep on doing about like they have been.

Time will only tell. Both Sprint and Tmobile, dont have a whole lot of great high end smart phones. But they do dabble in them from the high end to the low end smart phones.

Smart phone usage has only picked up from years ago, and it is only going to grow bigger and better, as well as the devices that come out to support newer technology. Give it some more time. Paitence is a virtue

Being a long time supporter/customer of Sprint... you should have known by now that Sprint customers have to developed tolerance and patience.

And/or stubborness! They always end up losing the argument with me.
