Titanium Backup Question

I just downloaded the free version of titanium backup for my captivate after rooting it. When i go in to start backing up my applications, it gives me a message saying my phones settings will not allow me to restore applications. Please go to settings and then applications and tick the "unknown sources" box.

I cannot find this box. Where is it?

You won't have that checkbox on a stock ROM, or if it is there, I could never find it. I see it with the custom ROMs I have tried though, so I am fairly certain that is part of the ATT cripple job. I am not sure that will really affect you however, until possibly it comes time to RESTORE an app.

I would try restoring a less important app after uninstalling it to see if it works.

Can't be done unless you either have a ROM that enables sideloading, or you use SDK to manually enable sideloading. The link below explains what you need to do - it requires an understaning of SDK.
