Ok, I took the plunge today and rooted the machine. My next step (baby steps here) is to remove the ever popular Verizon Bloatware. Yes, I did read the Cory Steater post on what to and what not to remove. My question is this, should I get root explorer of should I upgrade to Titanium Pro to rename the files?

They do different things, really... Root Explorer is a file explorer, while Titanium Backup is used to backup, freeze, and restore apps and data. Both well worth the purchase.

I use Root Explorer and simply move them to a folder on the sd card named bloat xxx. If I ever need to move them back, I can do that in a batch versus having to rename everything.

Ti is fantastic as a backup utility or a freezer if you prefer to use it that way. But why freeze bloat and leave it there when you can move it?
