Tmo V40 - Just got a system update

Just an FYI, the update came through this morning and appears to be a security update. Phone info now reports October Security Patch (not sure what it was before, didn't check....oops).

Anybody have any additional info about what might have been included?

Yep, just downloaded the update. I believe we were on the September security patch. I'll keep my eye out to see if anything else noticable arrived with this update...

This is the update my unlocked phone came with last week.

It was the October security update.

Got the V40 last Monday with 8.1 Android and Sept 2018 security patch.

I was surprised when I saw the update this morning. It was fairly large as well, like over 700 MB. security patches are usually smaller than that right? I was trying to check TMobile's website for info on the update but they didn't even show it. They still had the launch software version showing.

Yeah I thought it was the pie update at first because it had no details. Just "system update".

LG released a couple of software updates in October right before release that focused on camera improvements. I wonder if they were included in the software release?

I was a little surprised by the language that the update would AUTOMATICALLY go through if you delay it.

I got a similar update on my V30 that updated the AOD screen, fixed some bugs, and installed the October Security update, and was very similar in size.

Just received the Sprint update V405U11a. It references improved stability of apps and includes the October security update.

Verizon is way behind as usual. Very frustrating. I might get it by December. And if you call them the will always just say it's in testing. We will be the last to get 9.0 also.
