I am going to order it online. It gives me the $100 back instantly and I don't have to pay the $20 early upgrade fee.
 
i know theres allot of people talking about the rebate, every time i upgraded at my local Verizon store they honored the online price.

that's what;s happened to me in the past also. When they started the BOGO for balckberrys last year, it was online and most retailers wouldn't honor it......except the corporate VZW stores. I was hoping the same would be true for the rebate, but it seems not. :(
 
I'm definitely going with the visit to the store. I got a mailer a couple of weeks ago saying I could upgrade early and get $50 off. There was a 1 800 number with and I talked to that csr and they said I could only use this invitation over the phone. What!!!!! This morning the csr preceded to tell me that if I ordered Thursday morning I might get the phone on Tuesday of next week. It's a standard 2 day thing. Needless to say I called my local Verizon store and they said the mailer was good in the store and they took my name and will call me tomorrow to let me know about inventory.

I don't have a problem with Verizons customer service, it's always been good but I have learned that they usually have conflicting stories and it pays to double check everything.

Did anyone else get this mailer? Do you think it will be good in the store. I'm stressing! I'm willing to deal with MIR just to have the phone in my hands Thursday.
 
I've been going back and forth on this one...a huge part of me wants to just go to the store and buy it Thursday, but another part wants to just order it online, not mess with mail-in rebate, and, hopefully, get it on Friday - my birthday!

I have learned this too by waiting many a time on hold with CS for long periods of time. Best bet it keep calling until they tell you what you want to hear. Then find a way to guarantee the deal lol.
 
Im going to have a VZW csr place my order for me, it beats waiting on line or having to get there at 8am. I may go to a corporate store on the 15th just to check things out.
