I ran dl30 to super clean to the various roms associatedwith it then went to eb01 and now I'm running 2.6sc. I must say...i find my phone force closing apps more. Restarting on its own and other little funky stuff. I wiped my phone, backed up stuff using titanium pro and back up assistant...i dont know. maybe I'm missing something.

Not to disparage all the work that goes into these roms, but the more they're tinkered with, the more chance for stability to become an issue.

Take themes for example, when looking for a universal way to add an accurate battery mod to an existing theme, I found virtually every theme I tested to be a nightmare of broken or corrupt images and manually edited xml and resource files that could not be cleanly de and re-compiled. They worked as is, but were so messily hacked together to make modify them further difficult to impossible.

Personally, I stick with a stock rom, debloat it myself and add in a few minimal changes - an accurate battery mod and a expanded shutdown menu. I rarely have force-close issues and it does everything I need it to do. For me, SuperClean has become too heavily modified, and there's enough stock apps/features I use that the stripped down BlackHole is more work than starting from stock.

But the best rom is the one that fits your needs the best.

Amen Chris. The answer to which ROM is the best is completely subjective. Some people like myself prefer no stock verizon apps, others prefer some and will use the stock or deodexed/debloated, root it and remove what apps they don't want. Some people want stock, but want to be able to add a theme so the debloated/deodexed is best. Chris couldn't have said it better - the best rom is the one that fits your needs the best.

Call me dumb but idk. I will tell you this. I dont use ANY verizon apps EXCEPT back up assistant. I love super clean and everything they have wiped out. But with 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, and variations from the guys at XDA, I dont know which is legitimately the most stable (least force close after wipes, etc).

No one's dumb for using or not using stock apps, just personal preference.

For me, I regularly use Memo, Task Manager, My Files, and the stock SMS app, clock, calculator and calendar. I just don't know what the purpose in removing or replacing some of these with AOSP versions.

For Verizon apps, yea, I don't use any either, and I've removed pretty much every one I could.

But it's all personal preference. Hell, there's plenty of people who love TouchWiz and there's nothing wrong with that either.

im not crazy about TouchWiz. Lol, I use Launcher Pro. I love that thing. I was considering flashing 2.5SC but Im not sure if its worth it having already 2.6 on my phone.
